STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

Bay-Lakes Council
(920) 734-5705

Held at Bear Paw Scout Camp on October 5-7, STEMpede is a weekend camp that takes the STEM experience out of the classroom and into the woods. With nearly 20 merit badges and activity options, Webelos, Boy Scout, and Venturer Scouts will experience more Science-Technology-Engineering-Math than they can handle!

Participants will have the opportunity to build their own catapults, robots, fire trebuchets & participate in code breaking challenges! Throughout camp, there will be weird science experiments, battles with mechanical advantages and more, more, MORE!

This year, STEMPede is excited to take part in Project BLIMP! This incredible activity will give groups of Scouts the opportunity to design and construct a structure that will put a payload up into the stratosphere and bring back data. NASA, here we come!

Last year, STEMpede had so many participants that it almost maxed out! This year, STEMpede has almost doubled it's offerings to give even more opportunities to Scouts! However, don't wait to sign up as spots are going fast!

Participants/Units will need to bring camping gear, i.e; tents, sleeping bags, pillows, etc. as this will be an outdoor camping weekend event with meals provided by staff.
