Spring Has Arrived

Imagine 2024
On Tuesday, March 30th, the first of several branding projects that will take place over the course of the next several years has started. Work on the roof of the dining hall at Camp Rokilio has commenced and is in the process of getting a new green metal roof. As roofs meet their life expectancy at the camps we will continue to replace them with green standing seam metal roofs that require less maintenance and have a life expectancy far superior to traditional shingles.

If you would like to weigh in on the new color palette for the camp facilities and/or the amenities that you believe that the Council Camp's Campsites should include, click on the link(s) below to provide input:

Commissioner Corner

There were 12 of them, brand new scouts still in fifth grade, on their first full-fledged camping weekend with the Troop.  After breakfast and clean-up, with several proclaiming how good the pancakes tasted, they headed out with compass and map, rather than hook up a video game to amuse themselves for the morning. Read more by clicking here.

Program Planning

Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now. Quality Scouting programs begin with program planning. Unit program planning is an annual process where a Unit invites all familes to have input in the program and activities of the Unit. It is also the process of selecting great activities, developing a Unit calendar and budget and sharing the plan with all the familes. For more information to help with program planning, click here.
